Complete work from yesterday, plus:

Write and illustrate a story

Why not consider setting your story in a hot climate?

Email your fantastic stories to:

y6teachers@hodgehill.createpartnership.org.uk

Try to include:

Good description (using noun phrases and adverbials)

Complex sentences, by using a variety of co-ordinating and subordinating conjunctions.

Accurate punctuation.

Test how long it takes an ice cube to melt.

Compare the melting time in full sunshine and in the shade.

Think about what you will need to keep the same to make this a fair test.

Record your findings and write up your experiment.

Try to explain your observations.

Write a letter to your Year 6 teacher.

Tell them:

  • Areas you have made progress with and those you still want to improve at.
  • What you have valued about Year 6.
  • What your favourite memories of the year are.
