Children must, by law, start school at the beginning of the term after their fifth birthday. However, at present, in Birmingham children are admitted in September at the start of the academic year in which they reach five years of age.
In October 2017 the parents of children who are due to start school will be sent a letter and a pre-printed form advising them of how to apply for a reception school place and where to obtain the primary information booklet.
Copies of the booklet are available at all Birmingham Primary Schools, Libraries, Health Centres, Children's Centres, Doctors Surgeries, private and Community Nurseries and also electronically.
Parents can also apply on-line at www.birmingham.gov.uk/schooladmissions or by completing the Local Authority Preference form which will be sent out during October.
The final closing date for applications is Monday 15th January 2018.
Offer emails and letters will be sent out in April 2018.
Parents can apply for a place in the autumn of the year before their child turns 4 years of age. It’s important that you apply for a place as soon as possible. The final closing date for applications is Monday 15th January 2018.
Our admission number is now 120 pupils and admission arrangements are based upon the local authority criteria, as specified in the Primary Education Booklet produced annually and available for download here.
