Transition activity a Make a list of personal challenges that you might face in Year 7 and how you will plan to overcome each of them. | e.g.
Challenge 1) Being responsible for providing own stationary.
Overcome by: checking school bag each night. Buying extra pens and pencils in case you lose one. |
Transition activity b Watch a short video about transition to secondary school. | Talk to a trusted adult about any concerns you have about moving to a new school. Remember, any concern you have is not silly and will be shared by lots of other children. |
Compare the UK climate to that of another country. This will require you to research (probably using the internet – something you’ll be expected to do a lot in Year 7). | Choose another country (maybe much hotter than the UK or much colder). Information to find out:

Design your own summer drink Can you come up with a recipe for a refreshing drink to make on a hot day? | If you’re lucky enough to have the ingredients, have a go at making your drink and get your family to evaluate it. Record your recipes, pictures and evaluations and email them to:
