SATs week & ‘WAKE UP - SHAKE UP’ club

Dear Parents/Carers,

As I’m sure you are aware, SATs week starts this Monday,14th May 2018. The timetable is as follows:

Monday  14th - English grammar, punctuation and spelling test

Tuesday 15th - Reading

Wednesday 16th - Maths arithmetic paper 1 and reasoning paper 2

Thursday 17th - Maths reasoning paper 2

To make sure that your child gets off to the best possible start, please make sure that they have a good night’s sleep and a healthy breakfast each day, as this does have an impact on the children’s concentration.

To help the children ready themselves for the tests, we are running a ‘WAKE UP- SHAKE UP’ club next week. The children will be given a free breakfast and then do some fun, physical exercise to energise them, ready for the days ahead.  To take part children will need to come to school for 8.10 am. We hope to see as many of the children there.

Your child must arrive in school by 8.45a.m. to ensure a prompt start. If your child is feeling poorly, please notify the school by 8.30 a.m. where a member of the Senior Leadership Team will be available to discuss whether or not they are able to sit the test and what alternative arrangements can be made.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact the school.
