Hodge Hill Joining an Academy Trust

The Governing Body’s priority is to enable the school to continue to provide an excellent education for our children while protecting the school’s role at the heart of our community and retaining their unique qualities and strengths. We recognise that the role of Local Authorities in supporting schools is diminishing and that it is Government policy to encourage schools to become Academies.

The Governing Body has therefore agreed in principle to join the MAT with a view to the formal consultation process. This consultation is open to all, including parents, pupils, staff and the wider community.

The consultation period started on Monday 19th September and will end at 12.30pm on Friday 11th November.

There will also be the opportunity for parents and members of the community to meet and ask the Head teachers and Governors questions if they wish to on the date / times shown below:

Tuesday 18th October 2016 – Parent meetings:

First session:         2:00pm – 4:00pm
Second session:      5:00pm – 7:00pm
