Our Vision

Hodge Hill Primary aims to provide a creative and challenging curriculum that inspires future thinkers, innovators and problem solvers in an immersive environment that stimulates and supports high quality learning. We aim to teach children how to grow into positive, responsible people, who can work and co-operate with others while developing the drive, knowledge and skills to become life-long learners.

Our School Curriculum

In line with the changes of in the New Primary Curriculum, we have developed an innovative curriculum to capture children’s enthusiasm and generate excitement about learning.

We will be continuing to work upon our school curriculum to make sure that it is up to date, reflects the views and the ever changing needs of our children, so that they develop a sound and rigorous grounding in basic skills of maths, English, computing and science whilst increasing their knowledge and understanding of the wider world around them.

Skills, Knowledge and Understanding

To ensure the children follow a broad and balanced curriculum we follow the Primary Curriculum for the statutory Primary school subjects English, maths, science, computing, physical education, history, geography, music, art, design and technology and foreign languages.

We also follow the guidance given by the Department for Education and Local Authority, which we adapt to meet the needs of our children, to teach Religious Education, Personal, Social and Health Education. This includes relationship and growth, anti-bullying and extremism, e-safety and drug and alcohol education.
